Cloud Computing Firm Queplix Adds Key Silicon Valley Executives

Mark Cashman Named CEO, Kevin Brown Joins Board of Directors, Carl Wright Leads Advisory Board

Queplix Corp., today announced that it has added three experienced executives to its team. Mark Cashman has been named as CEO of the company, and Kevin Brown and Carl Wright have joined the company's Board of Directors and Advisory Board, respectively. Additionally, the company announced it has closed a $1.5 million Series A investment from Javelin Venture Partners, and unveiled its QueCloud platform, designed to accelerate migration of enterprise applications to private and public cloud infrastructures.

"We are extremely pleased to have Mark, Kevin, and Carl on board to accelerate our growth in the emerging cloud computing sector," said Steve Yaskin, CTO and co-founder of Queplix. "We have grown the company organically over the last few years and built strong relationships with a wide range of enterprise customers. Queplix is now poised to address a much larger market opportunity, and the addition of these experienced executives is a huge advantage."

Mark Cashman brings a wealth of enterprise computing experience to Queplix as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Queplix, Mr. Cashman served as Vice President of Business Development at enterprise mobility vendor Agito, where he established strategic partnerships with partners including AT&T, Cisco, Aruba, Motorola, and Microsoft. He has served in management roles at GoRemote (acquired by iPass), Fiberlink, AT&T, and IBM. At IBM, he launched the Internet Connection Service business that grew from $100,000 to more than $235M in revenue over a 5-year period.

"Queplix is ideally positioned to accelerate the adoption of enterprise cloud computing, while simultaneously improving access to critical information," said Mark Cashman, CEO of Queplix. "We are excited about simultaneously adding executive talent, financial backing, and new products to the business."

New Board of Directors member Kevin Brown is the former CEO of desktop virtualization software vendor Kidaro, which was acquired by Microsoft in May 2008. Prior to joining Kidaro, Mr. Brown served as a vice president on the original executive team of storage security vendor Decru, where he led worldwide marketing, business development, and product management. Following the company's acquisition by Network Appliance, he stayed on as a Vice President, and in that capacity served as an advisor to the U.S. Congress, Federal Trade Commission, and U.S. Department of Defense. Previously, Mr. Brown served on the founding team of Inktomi, a pioneering infrastructure software firm, where he served in a number of executive positions, including Vice President and General Manager of Inktomi's networking business.

Carl Wright, Senior Vice President at application virtualization vendor InstallFree, will lead the Queplix Advisory Board. Mr. Wright brings an exceptional track record of executive experience in leading technology firms; his career spans roles including Vice President of Sales and Corporate Strategy at Kidaro (acquired by Microsoft), Vice President of Federal Operations for Decru (acquired by Network Appliance), and Vice President of Federal Operations at Securify (acquired by Secure Computing). In addition, Mr. Wright has extensive experience in all aspects of enterprise information technology deployments and has held key IT operational roles, including Chief Information Security Officer for the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1999, he was awarded the National Security Agency's Frank B. Rowlett Trophy for worldwide Information Security Professional of the year.
