Skytap Picks Up $10M in Financing

The cloud automation start-up has gotten a $10 million C round

Skytap, the cloud automation start-up, has gotten a $10 million C round led by OpenView Venture Partners with its existing financiers Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Group and Washington Research Foundation kicking in.

OpenView, a so-called expansion stage VC fund no older than its new four- year-old investment, gets a seat on the board.

The money, which makes $23 million so far, is earmarked for sales and marketing as well as new product development.

Apparently the start-up, which runs enterprise apps unchanged in the cloud, has seen 300% growth in usage and revenue.
